To say Louis Alexander was passionate about improving and supporting learning curriculums would be an understatement. Throughout his illustrious career, he developed numerous communication language courses that have had a lasting impact on language education. His significant contributions as the chair of the Council of Europe’s committee on modern language learning teaching were instrumental in creating the Common European Framework of Reference, which continues to be adopted by language systems worldwide.

Louis Alexander’s legacy extends beyond curriculum development. He achieved remarkable milestones, including being featured in the iconic Guinness Book of Records for selling the greatest number of books by an individual author in a single year in 1977, with a staggering total of 4.7 million books sold worldwide. His work has left an indelible mark on language education, inspiring educators and learners alike to strive for excellence in communication.
